About

picture-3513-1504286351.jpg

A Virginia Tech graduate, I received my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Studio Art where I studied in multiple mediums gaining skills with ceramics, drawing, painting and sculpture. I balanced my studies in art with courses in art history, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in Art History degree simultaneously.

I began my career with art in elementary school, attending Old Donation Center for the Arts in Virginia Beach, and attribute this early education as a driving factor for my path in life, deciding to continue my education to the collegiate level. I went on to earn my Masters of Arts in Teaching at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and am currently a high school visual arts teacher at Gwendolyn Brooks College Preparatory Academy, teaching 7th - 12th grade students in Art 1, Drawing & Painting, AP Drawing, and AP Art History. Constantly learning myself, teaching others is a passion with which I hope to inspire everyone of all ages.
